Choice: The Key to Evolutionary Power
My daughter Erica recently completed the Landmark Forum and, as a graduate of the training, I attended the Sunday evening celebration. There was the traditional ‘choose vanilla or chocolate ice cream’ coaching session wherein a participant is asked to experience the distinction between a choice and a decision. It was exciting to be a part of her breakthrough, when she finally ‘got it.’ For those of you unfamiliar with Landmark Education I’ll share the distinction. A decision is a result of considering your options, a choice is an act of personal power.
How often do you experience this flavor of choice in your world? How often is choice a dynamic energy arising from your inner being and not as a consequence of deliberate consideration. Take a moment to explore these additional nuances of choice and notice if they broaden the spectrum of your own power in resonant ripples:
Choice arises from your personal authority and responsibility. You can’t rest your belief laurels on your DNA or your conditioned training. You are the engineer responsible for the scaffolding of your reality. You are the source of what is and what’s not. You are the leader of choice in this play of potential. Engage the grand adventure of your life, take responsibility for ALL of it and claim your authority to design your own delectable dream.
Choice creates consciousness and awareness. Your moment to moment choices combine to create your version of ‘reality.’ Your choices are the experiential bandwidth of your perception. They either expand or constrict the landscape of your experience. Notice how your world changes when you let go of a belief or a certain way of doing something. Whether it’s shedding beliefs about yourself or others, your willingness to make choices that expand your experience create a new realm of being and reality.
Choice creates collective reality. Your choices not only change what’s possible for you, they also expand the dynamic potential for ALL of creation. Think of the sheer legion of collective choices or agreements – marriage, traditions, government, religion, etc. These did not pop up suddenly one day as ‘reality.’ These were individual choices made by every one who has come before you. Where are you buying into a collective reality that no longer rings true for you? Untether the entanglements and access your own power by choosing what’s right now.
Choice is the engine of your Evolution. It’s the action that matters. Not choosing is a choice! Not choosing taps into the stream of what’s done, you do not have access to the alivening presence of you right now. The only place where you ‘really’ are here is right now. Choose to evolve, choose to be the crucible of creation.
True Choice is something that arises from your dynamic being. It happens right now, the energy compels you. It requires no explanation, no justification, no ‘because.’ It just IS, exactly like YOU! Evolve your power to choose vibrantly and shift your world and the whole realm of creation.
