3 Steps to Embody the Rapture of Your Passion

According to Merriam Webster passion is defined as an intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction; ardent affection; a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept;  an object of desire or deep interest. What if you tapped into a more expanded expression and possibility for passion?

… crackling thunder of your life aligned with Source
… raging, inevitable force of your creations come alive
… unyielding torrent of wonder and awe weaving a new you

What if passion is not about the outside forces that make you come alive, but the inner forces coming alive through you?

What if passion is the dynamic spark that will fire up your world and bring a new level of play into being?

It's easy to think your passion is something ‘out there': the things you love to do, the people you love to be with, the things that bring you joy. The danger in outsourcing your passion is that you fall into the trap that it's something you need to get or find, it's outside of you. If you are still seeking, chances are that whatever you find may not really quench that desert thirst. When your focus for ‘the answer' is out there, you've lost your choice point, your power.

The rapture of being alive, the aliveness of your Being is already here. There's nowhere for you to go and nothing for you to do. You only need notice the alivening force that is within you, The brilliant force that is YOU. Passion is not out there, it's right in here. You are the point of Passionate Presence in the now!

David Whyte tells us that, “When experience is firsthand and alive, perception is not about the experience, it is the experience itself.” You are the actual experience of Life! How cool is that? The actual experience is what is transformative and alive, it is what changes you. It is where you are the super-connected Essence, the more-ness of life. And here's the kicker, it's not about the actual experience, the details, mental filters and experiential perception. It is about the alivening force that is experienced thereby transforming you and your world into Being the alivening force. Perception is transformed by experience.

True Passion is the Rapture of Being Alive

Passion takes over your being. It obliterates the ‘personal' self and extinguishes the ‘little you,' the one caught up with ‘me and mine', the one who wants and needs. Passion consumes your doubts and longings. It decimates your personal view, the insignificant minutia that distracts your greater knowing. Like a raging river, passion, obliterates your ‘not enough-ness.'

Passion is force and fervor combined in a spiral of enthusiasm and expansiveness into crystalline clarity. Passion cleanses the portals of perception, it illuminates the depth and design of your dreams. With the ravenous zeal of a first time lover, it voraciously plumbs the undiscovered greatness of your being and propels you into a world of grander visions. Could it be that passion is that easy, that you have only to surrender to the grandness of it? Can passion reveal a wondrous world, stirring you into your natural splendor?

Life always has a passionate adventure on offer and you always get to choose. Everything in your life has the potential to wake you up or put you to sleep. Every moment is a portal to possibility, an opening to the Now. You can either open to it or close yourself off to it. You can awaken or you can slumber. You can say, “Yes!” or “No!” What's it gonna be?

Let's take a moment to dive into the infinite rapture of passion:

1. Tap Into Your Infinite Self. Take a deep breath and exhale the edges of your being until there is no place where you end or begin. Feel it, Sense it, Know it! Feel the porous nature of your body, the way your breath bathes your body in your BEing. with its luminous presence. Feel the softening of your nature. How easily and effortlessly your energy flows and moves. Allow the rapture of aliveness to capture your core, to saturate your stillness, to aliven your awakening. Inhale, Exhale… Breathe in deeply the essence of your being. Breathe in deeply the essence of your passion. Breathe and know that you are ONE with All That Is. The passion of LIFE courses through your body. The sacredness of LIFE courses through your being. Feel the energy of passion. Sense the purpose of passion. What does it reveal to you?

2. Open to Your Multi-sensory Knowing. Fully connect to the intelligence of life, permeating your very essence, touching the very core of you, until no aspect of your body or your being is untouched, by the energy of light and love. Feel your cells pulsating with aliveness, wisdom and insight. Listen… Open your heart and allow the silent murmurings to caress your ears in trusted unity. Embrace the cosmic communion of body, heart and life force. The synergy of your body's experience and your heart's wisdom are an flowering, ever expanding awareness. It propels you into unprecedented presence and power. Open to your feeling. Sink into your sensing. Watch the arising of a new level of consciousness ripple into your world in radically different ways. Allow the TRUE energy of you to fully saturate the here and now. You’re already here. Already perfect, already complete. Your body is a boundless fountain of intelligence and grace. It sings the song of TRUE to you, always.

3. Invoke the Possibility of Rapturous Passion. Remember the last time you were fully enthralled with the delight of your passions? Be there now. Be HERE now. What are you doing? Are you alone or with others? Are you engaged in an inner activity or outer activity? Are your senses fully engaged? Are you out in nature? What surrounds you? What energy saturates your body? Feel your passion arising, blossoming into being. Breathe in the rapture of this place, this time, this body, this now. Feel the sheer delight of being YOU. Feel the pleasure of being present. Trust the wisdom of your whole being. Inhale, Exhale… Notice what’s true… Breathe, Relax, Expand… Yes! Passion is here. Yes! Rapture is here Yes! You are the “I Am.”

Passion is a full on Experience! Passion is the expression of BEing. It consumes you, takes you over. You lose yourself in it. Passion dances you, sings you, writes you, creates you, lives you. Passion is out of time, out of space, beyond the physical… in the physical, intensely engaged in the doing of something for the sheer joy of it. It is the energy of ALLness occupying you, here and now.

Passion is BEing.
Passion is cosmic, beyond self.
Passion is rapture.
Passion is organic, your natural state of being.
Passion is your built in pleasure template.
Passion is WHO and WHAT you are.
Passion is not something you do, it is YOU.
